Thoughts for Thursday

I have always liked this quote - I am really good at wanting something but not really doing anything about it. I guess I hope that if I think about it often enough, it will happen?
That all changed 21 weeks ago.
I was part of a "biggest loser" contest with 13 other friends. We each put in $50 and set out to make healthy life style changes. I was not the "biggest loser" but I was a winner. I lost 38 lbs.
I won my body back.
After 20 weeks, I still wasn't where I wanted to be. Honestly, I kind of slacked off the last month. I started "cheating" on my healthy diet and I stopped exercising regularly. I knew I needed something to keep my motivated to lose those last few pounds.
So...I decided to start training for a Sprint Triathlon.
CRAZY!!
I really don't like to run, I'm not a strong swimmer and I don't have a great bike.
3 good reasons NOT to do it!
But...I'm not going to let that stop me. 
This morning I officially started training for my tri.
I took this picture as I was heading home after my 1 1/2 hour workout
Training day 1 - check! 12 more weeks to go!

Wow! How do you train? It sounds to me like you have plenty of self-motivation!
