Every day for lunch it is the same...peanut butter and jelly. I can't get Coleman to try anything new. Every once in a while (maybe once a month) I can get him to "branch" out and eat Mac and Cheese. If I ask him what else he wants to eat, his first response is "Wendy's" and I refuse to go there every other day! I am so tired of these lunches and I am a little worried that they are not the healthiest choices. I have tried soup, chicken strips, tuna fish, turkey wraps, etc...no luck! I was hoping this was just a stage, but it's lasted for about a year! Any marvelous ideas for me?

At least your's will add jelly to their sandwiches. Just peanut butter around here!
Would he be more willing to eat something new if he helped make it? My kids will eat most things if they have helped me in the kitchen making it.
Thomas grew up on PB & J. Lunch wasn't lunch until he had a peanut butter sandwhich. He is 15 years old and healthy and happy and I think it worked out just fine. One day he will branch out. Thomas even eats tuna now.
What I wouldn't give for your situation!
We enjoy cabbage and garbonzo beans around here. Sometimes we add some beets or sprouts for variety.
I know this sounds awful but we just let Charlotte starve if she doesn't want to eat what we're eating. Okay, starvation is probably an exaggeration because she's usually hungry enough by the next meal to comply with the rules. But I don't know if Coleman would go for the hunger-treatment without a major protest...how much do you care to change the lunch routine? Good luck!
