A new job, a gradution and some family fun!

May is always such a busy month...the past 3 weeks have been a blur and this coming week will be no different, I'm sure!
First of all, Rylee is one of the newest employees at our local Hogi Yogi!
I drove the kids down to "see her in action" and get some lunch. She was NOT able to work the yogurt machine by herself - she had to have her friend help

She did a good job considering it was her first 30 minutes on the job - and everyone enjoyed their lunch!

Another BIG day for our family was Coleman's kindergarten graduation. I LOVE this picture of my little guy all dressed up with his shirt and tie and graduation cap on!
It was a bitter sweet day for me - I know he is growing up, but sometimes it seems that he is growing up a little too fast! These kinds of days are hard for me and I tend to get teary...just like I did when he was reciting the Pledge of Allegiance! Isn't that silly??

His name was called and he stepped forward to accept his diploma (sorry about the blurry picture - I was probably teary again!)

This is his awesome teacher, Mrs. Wright. She made learning fun for Coleman and he learned so many great things in her classroom. He has developed a love for reading and has excelled at so many new and exciting things like math and "centers". Kindergarten was a real adventure for him and we are ready to see what adventures first grade will bring! He is already geared up for "all-day" school , eating lunch in the lunch room, riding bikes to school with his sisters AND he gets to go to recess 3 times a day!! Who could ask for more??

With May being so busy - it seems like our "family" time has all but disappeared! We had a busy Saturday morning, but Jeff had the afternoon and evening earmarked for some much needed family time at the park! He made some tinfoil dinners and grabbed our game bag and we were off! We played a little ball

We played on the swings
And then it was time for dinner

We enjoyed delicious pork chops, chicken, hamburger patties, potatoes, carrots and even a little shrimp - yum!

We ended the night with a little more track ball

And some close ups of the kids - I think that these pictures will forever be some of my favorites. Coleman's sweaty hair, Lexi's sweet "toothy" smile and Kamryn's unruly hair!

Great memories!

Your afternoon at the park sounds great. I love the close-ups of the kids. And don't worry I get teary everytime I hear the pledge too.

I am going to miss Coleman (and all of your support) so much! He is such a good kid...his next teacher will be SO lucky! I get teary thinking about not teaching kindergarten anymore.

That Coleman is SUCH a little heartbreaker. I'm STARTLED by the fact that he'll be in all-day school next year. What a change for you!

Cute, CUTE family pics, Jodi!

Great post, Jodi. I love that you visited Rylee at Hogi Yogi. My parents used to visit me at Orange Julius and Baskin Robbins. Great memories. Your kids as so cute! Hope to see you this summer!
