Hope of America

We had the opportunity to go to the BYU Marriott Center Wednesday night to watch the Hope Of America presentation. There were 36 different elementary school's represented the night we were there - Kamryn has been participating in her school choir and she was able to be a part of this great night. Her cousin (from Alpine) and her aunt (who teaches in Orem) were also part of the program on the same night!
Each school is assigned a different color t-shirt to wear...and when they all come together, it looks like this

The songs, the video montage and the dancing were all wonderful and I was really touched by the whole thing. I was especially impressed with the last song. They turned off all of the lights and the kids were singing with flashlights - the video doesn't do it justice, but it was awesome!

I'm grateful the Kamryn had the opportunity to attend and participate this year - it helped to remind me of the freedom that we enjoy in this great country and for all of the people that sacrifice their time...and sometimes their lives...to protect that freedom!

I didn't even know they did this. My niece was there too but we didn't find out about it until after it was over. That looks really awesome.
