We just returned from our Spring break in St. George....a much needed break for the kids and some well deserved R & R for mom and dad. We spent the trip swimming in the pool, playing tennis, swimming in the pool, catching lizards, shopping at the outlets, swimming in the pool, hiking in the sand dunes and swimming in the pool! There were 5 families that made the trip with us and it was nice to have so many kids to play with and so many adults to visit with. We had NO schedule...we woke up when we wanted to , we went to bed when we wanted to, the kids watched movies every night in our condo...a true break from everyday life!

I think that Jeff and Coleman had the most fun playing "catch" the football (and I use the term "catch" loosely) The ball is hardly ever caught, yet the kids can play this game for hours! Jeff had about 9 kids lined up on the side of the pool - freezing - waiting to have a turn! Here is a little video of one of our favorite water games.
We also had a fun time watching Coleman get pretty brave in the water. He has always been a little fish and loved to swim, but this trip the "dare devil" in him came out...I was a pretty proud mama when I saw this:
My favorite part of the trip was hiking in the petrified sand dunes. It was a little chilly and a lot windy when we got there and I thought we would be miserable and only stay a little while. But once we got hiking, it wasn't so bad and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

We saw a lot of wild prairie flowers but this was the only cactus flower that was blooming.
The worst part of the trip was packing up the car to come home...never a pleasant task. I heard "can we just live here" and "when are we coming again" the whole time I was cleaning out the fridge. I'm sure we will do it again - the sooner the better!

Looks like a fun weekend!!! You know...I've heard Southern Utah is a GREAT place to live...haha. :)
I love the "catch game" and you couldn't have taken a better video of it. I've never been brave enough to flip in the pool like that. Looks like you had a great time.
SO-HO-HOOOOO Jealous. Enough said.
I'm green. With envy. Looks like an absolute RIOT!!! And by the way, Way to go, Coley. WooHoo! What a brave boy.
