We had the opportunity to attend the General Young Women meeting at the Conference Center on Saturday. What a fun trip! Rylee and I drove up with my presidency and Rylee's friend, Kara.
We left early and stopped at Cafe Rio to eat dinner. YUMMY! We got to the conference center with over an hour to spare so we took a few pictures. It was FREEZING cold and we wanted to get inside -the wind was blowing and I think it was about 15 degrees! (Okay, maybe it was closer to 40...but it was still cold! And it could get to 15 with the wind chill!)
The conference center looked great with the young women value flags hanging out front and it was fun to see so many other young women and leaders - there were SO many of them. I think the conference center holds 21,000 people and every seat was taken by the time the conference started.
The conference was wonderful and I loved seeing President Monson and his couselors. I got excited for General Conference and the opportunity we will have to hear from each of them.
On the way home, we stopped and had shakes and visited for a while - then home to bed!
We had a great time and I'm glad we had the chance to go!

What a wonderful time! I got to take a group of sisters to the Relief Society session last fall and it is a great experience being in the conference center and hearing from our Prophet.
There is always such a good feeling at the conference center! Glad you got to have such a nice evening!

how fun...i loved those meetings. I never got to attend one in person but it looks like a great opportunity. Sorry it was so cold and windy...i know how that is!! I was "warm" at 35 today..crazy talk
