My heart is aching

I was watching the news last night as I always do. Kamryn was brushing my hair, Lexi was tickling my arm and Rylee was putting Coleman's hair in a bunch of pony tails. (see other post) We were all on my bed, happy, and in our pajamas ready to settle in for the night. Then the "breaking news" screen appeared and the Utah mine story came on. My heart ached...I got tears in my eyes and I was instantly aware of the terrible tragedy that had taken place. At first the news reported one person was dead, 8 injured. A few minutes later we heard 2 people dead, 7 injured. Right before I turned off the tv we heard 3 people dead, 6 injured. I looked around my bedroom and watched my children giggling and laughing and enjoying each other and I was overcome with a deep sense of gratitude for my 5 children. I was also overcome with a deep sense of sadness for those miners' families and for their loss. I will be praying for them and for the many families that have been affected by this tragedy.

When I went to bed last night it was still 1 dead, 8 injured. I had no idea that more people had died. It is so sad. I kept shaking my head as I was watching the news...for what this means for the mine, the ones who are still in there, and for all of their families. I will be praying with you.

I heard this morning that Govenor Huntsman decided to stop the search because so many rescue men have been killed or injured. Those men stuck inside might never make it out. Pray for them.
