Homecoming '09

Rewind to last year...Homecoming '08 - Brad was a little "shell shocked" when he got home from the dance - pictures were $40.00 per couple and that was for one of the smallest portrait packages. This year I had to BEG him to ask someone and go to the dance - his complaint?? It costs too much! So the other mom's and I got together and we helped out where and when we could to minimize the cost of the evening. They had dinner (salad, rolls, barbequed steaks, baked potatoes and green beans & a strawberry cream trifle for dessert) at one of the boys houses - each mom "donated" to the dinner.
I offered to take their date dance pictures - I was a little nervous because I am by NO means a photographer, but I do enjoy taking pictures and editing them on picnik. There are so many fun things you can do! Here is how they turned out:
The boys got to the park ab0out 45 minutes late, so some are a little dark
And a few I took of Brad and his date, AubreyEveryone had a great night..I think it was a success!

Christy - I can't tell you all of my "photo" secrets!! How am I supposed to start my own photography business if I give away all of my secrets?? KIDDING!! It's up at Canyon View Park - I edited it in Picnik and did the color boost and I LOVE the way they turned out!!

JODI! When you posted those on facebook, I thought, "FINALLY, a school that decided NOT to do those dumb poses in front of a cheesy background." I had no idea that you had taken them. They are incredible.

(It helps that you had such handsome/pretty people to photograph!) Looking good, Brad.

What a good idea. Dances are way too expensive.

I love how your pictures turned out. I especially like the writing on the bench that you added. The color of her dress and his matching tie is very striking.
