Tonight we are headed to the theater to see Bolt and then home to finish our celebration by eating chocolate covered strawberries and popping open the last two bottles of sparkling red cider that I saved from New Years.
It wasn't all celebrating today however...with it being Saturday, we had some chores to do. We found a box in the little girls closet with this in it:
Lexi denied having anything to do with it at first, but then the guilt got to her and she made a teary confession to the family. She said that she was just pulling on a dress to get it down and the box fell from the top of the closet. She was worried that she would be in trouble because these are Rylee's dolls that she has been collecting from our Disneyland trips for the past 8 years! Most of the dolls are okay and some need minor repairs - I think the only two that are a total loss are Aurora and Ariel. Sadly, Ariel is (or was) Rylee's favorite and we can't get it anymore!
Notice the two heads (Tink and Mulan) in the baggie along with Tinkerbells wings. Jeff will have to work his magic with the superglue to get them put together. I also noticed while I was posting these that Cinderella is missing a hand...I guess we'll be looking for that in the bottom of the closet too!

Ok the princess I will admit have seen better days but I do feel for Lexi-Lou..I can just imagine her guilt..darn it. I would still try and glue the ariel back together..think of ralphie's dad and the leg lamp..its worth a try. Oh and hey save me some strawberries..YUMMY!!
There's always ebay....maybe you can find her a replacement! How sad!
Sorry Rylee. If I had a replacement I would give it to you. I will say that no matter how much you loved your dolls, it is the memories of Disneyland that are the most important. I know that is easier said than done. I would glue them back together and hopefully someday you can look back at that memory and smile. At least Lexi has that guilt off her chest.
K, I don't say Shut Up any more because I have little ears around me listening and repeating everything I say, but if I did I would say SHUT UP! How in the world did you find my blog! I'm so happy you did! How are you! Holy cow, I think about you all the time and wonder how you are and what your up to and all of that good stuff! K who's kids are those on the top, no way they are your they have grown so much! Wow! How is life? I really should just email you. Any way! I love you and it so fun to see what your up to these days!
Well... Happy Valentines Day anyways. hehe =0)
Sometimes it is hard to be the big sister! I remember being on my mission and seeing pics of my sisters in my clothes that I had boxed up and when I got back I saw that my cabbage patch, that I had kept so nicely because I received it when I was 12 and didn't really "play" with it was, well, "loved" to say the least. But, I am so proud of Lexi for telling the truth! What a good girl. Anyway, these things all make me laugh now. Hopefully someday it will be a good memory, all glued up!
I actually found an Ariel figurine on Ebay for $2.99 plus shipping. Now if we could only find an Aurora...we'd be complete!
