I love a good rodeo! It's pretty much the only time during the year that I break out the cowboy boots and hats, buy cotton candy for my kids and even enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the arena. I love how every rodeo opens with the "cowboys prayer" and then everyone sings the national anthem while the rodeo queen holds onto the flag and the horses try to stand still.
I also LOVE to watch the bareback and bull riding competition. There are so many emotions involved - I am so sad every time a rider gets a "no time" or is disqualified because his feet weren't in the right position when he came out of the shoot. On the other hand, I am screaming with excitement when a rider holds on for dear life during those 8 seconds. I scream, clap and holler when we watch the mutton bustin' and laugh all night long at the clowns rodeo jokes.
It's a night the whole family can enjoy together!
We'll be going again next year for sure - in fact - Coleman wants to do the mutton bustin' - so we'll get him signed up! Mark your calendars and come join us next Pioneer Day!

Sounds like a lot of fun. I don't think I have ever been to a rodeo (not that I can remember anyway) We'll have to get ourselves to one. May be we should plan a trip to Utah for next year.
Oh, the rodeo. Remember the Days of '47 Rodeo in SLC where we watched the Utah Jazz mascott and some other mascott duke it out behind the scenes? Nothing's funnier than men fighting while wearing the world's sissiest outfits.
Looks like a rip roarin' night! We will plan to cheer Coleman on next year!
