for those that are wondering...

I removed the Valentines day post due to a guilty conscience. I don't want to use this blog as a "holiday venting tool" which is what I would do every holiday...do you get the picture?
I have realized over the past 17 years that holidays are not important to Jeff and although he has tried hard in the past to pick out a cute card or bring home a thoughtful gift, it's just not his thing. I am slowly becoming (painfully) aware that "his thing" is to get up and go to work every day and provide what he can for me and the kids. He does this day in and day out without complaining...sometimes working 80 hours a week. When he comes home, he always is looking for things to do with the kids. He clears off the kitchen table and plays a game of cards or picks out one of the 2,000 videos in the garage (another source of contention) to watch with the kids. He enjoys going to the grocery store and picking up things to make a special dinner for the family. He spends his hard earned money taking all of us to Wendover on Friday nights so that we can pig out at the all-you-can-eat seafood buffet and then go swimming until midnight. He loves to wrestle and play on the carpet with all 5 kids after family prayer. He is truly one of the most down to earth, fun loving people that I know. So despite my griping and tears this past holiday, I love him! He is all that I need - he is my one true love and I am grateful for the husband and father that he is!

Sounds like you have a great husband!

What, your husband doesn't care about holidays? We must have married brothers. Brett has actually done a great job, despite the fact that he really doesn't want to or care about the holidays.

I didn't have the privilege of reading said venting post. I will say that the replacement was pretty sweet, though!
