Let's start with...
Rylee. General Conference Oct. 2012. Pres. Monsen started off on Saturday morning with announcement that would change our lives! The missionary age for boys was changed - they are eligible for a mission at age 18. The missionary age for girls was changed and they are eligible for a mission at age 19. Rylee cried and prayed and really put a lot of thought into what she needed to do. The answer came almost immediately - and she put her papers in. On Dec. 13, 2012, she opened her call. She was called to serve in the Houston Texas South mission (English speaking) entering the MTC on Feb 13 {Yup...we had 60 days to get her ready to go!}
A friend of ours (Christy at Cheapshots photography) took her mission pictures for us - they turned out SO cute! There were quite a few...but these two are my favorite!
Feb. 13th FINALLY came and she was all packed and ready to go! 60 days FLEW by for me and just kept DRAGGING on for her! She was ready to go!
Jeff and I took her to get some lunch and then we dropped her off at the Provo MTC. I was a little bit sad {ok...maybe a lot sad} to be saying goodbye to my girl!
She was in the MTC for 12 days and then she flew to Houston. She was greeted by the mission presidents wife who fell in love with her instantly because of her red hair. Pres. Ashton and his wife were wonderful to her and helped her through some pretty tough times!
She learned some tough life lessons, grew a lot and has a forever family in Houston. She really enjoyed her time as a missionary!
We welcomed her home on August 23rd, 2014. She landed at the Salt Lake City airport and was so happy to see so many people there!
Happy, happy day!
Well...we were a "two missionary" family for a few months. Brad serving the West Indies and Rylee in Texas. It was a difficult transition - going from 5 kids down to 3 - and it always felt like someone was missing! I had to remind myself, almost daily, that two of them were gone!
I think this ^ is my favorite picture from Brad's mission. He just 'pulled a quarter' out of a young girls ear and the kids were SO IMPRESSED! Look at the cute little guy next to Brad, checking his own ear to see if he can find a quarter. Such beautiful children!
We welcomed Brad home on May 8th, 2013. He flew into the SLC airport around midnight so he was greeted by a much smaller group. We were SO happy to have him back home!One of our favorite family trips was hiking at Zion's national park. We took the kids down to St George and stayed in Ross and Tammy's condo for a few days. It was so nice to relax and swim and laugh together! It was beautiful weather and we had such a great time!
Brad and Jeff played together on a men's softball team in Spanish Fork during the summer. It was a lot of fun to watch them play together - until stuff like this happens.
Brad and another outfielder were going for a ball and they hit into each other. Brad's head hit the other guys stomach (all 300+ lbs of it) and he fell to the ground. After a long night of x-ray's and tests, we were able to take him home with a few bruises to his body and his ego!
Coleman also had a fun summer, running around barefoot and slicing the bottom of his foot open while walking across our window well cover. I was in the middle of hosting a bridal shower for a cute neighbor and Jeff was working at the Utah County Jail so Brad got to take him to the hospital. Luckily, it wasn't deep enough for stitches so they cleaned it up, gave him a Tetanus shot and wrapped it up tight.
We're getting close..er to being caught up! Hang in there!
Jeff's brother, Kyle, married Amy Stevenson in the Salt Lake temple in May 2013. It was a beautiful day spent with the whole family!
Our little family waiting outside for the bride and groom.
Last Oct., they were blessed with this cute little thing
Ruby joined the family right before Halloween 2014 - I can't wait to meet her in person and kiss those amazing cheeks and snuggle with her!
Callie married Douglas Bowen on Oct. 8th, 2013
They were sealed in the Mt Timpanogos temple and it was a beautiful Fall day!
Speaking of weddings...
Another BIG family event that I missed blogging about was this cute couple! Brad met Becca Allred while subbing at Larsen Elementary school. It was pretty much love at first sight and they were together almost ALL of the time. Brad proposed to Becca at the end-of- year program for the 4th graders - she said yes - and we planned a wedding! They got their license...
...had engagement photos taken {this is one of their engagement photos - and the one they included with their wedding invitation}
and were married in the Mount Timpanogos temple on August 8th, 2014.Here they are for the first time as Mr & Mrs WilsonOur little family at the wedding
Right after Rylee got home from her mission, we had another Dahl Family Fete day - this time it was all denim and Doug & Heidi's house in Cedar Hills.
Lots of other wonderful things have happened...
Jeff's parents were called to serve a mission. They left in Oct. 2013 and went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We are excited to welcome them home in April!
On a sad note, we lost a family member to suicide. My nephew, Hunter, passed away Nov. 2nd, 2014.
Going through this tragedy has forever changed me. I need to show more love, and less judgement. I need to accept and not criticize. I need to look for opportunities to say "I love you" and let the people around me know how much they mean to me.
I guess that is pretty much a wrap! I hope you enjoyed the LONG post - and I promise to be better at keeping the blog current! Here's to 2015!

I didn't have time to read this right now. I scanned through the pictures and I can't believe how much has happened in 2 years! So crazy.
