Winter is here!! It's been snowing on and off all weekend and it's MUCH colder outside. We were able to enjoy some of Salt Lake's "winter wonderland" this past weekend. Kamryn's choir (Utah Valley Childrens Choir) was invited to sing at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and at the Assembly Hall at Temple Square. We bundled up and drove to Salt Lake ready for some Christmas Spirit - and we weren't dissappointed!!
I have been trying to get a video to load for about 45 minutes so you could hear them singing - but I'm not having much luck!! I'll keep trying! Anyone know why I can't get it to load? Some secret I don't know?!?!
Anyhow - after the choir was finished singing, we headed out to see the lights at Temple Square...so BEAUTIFUL!! I love it there - it has all of the sights, smells and sounds of Christmas! The lights are amazing, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing Christmas music being piped all around...it's perfect!
Then - to add to the "perfectness" - we headed to the Gateway. Talk about Christmas spirit! I think some of the kids liked it better than Temple Square because...
...they had gas fireplace hand warmers!! They also had the fountains going - everyone HAD to get in the water!
We also HAD to take our picture by this gorgeous tree!
It was a great night - And we all left FULL of Christmas cheer! Good times!

I have found that videos of the shorter nature load best....I try to keep mine around 30 seconds. Thanks for the pics of the Joseph Smith Building. It is my favorite place to see decorated at Christmas time!
I miss SLC around Christmas time (although I will be up in Provo for Christmas this year). Looks like you guys had a blast!
