The good, the bad and the "snuggly"

First the GOOD...my HUGE birthday wish was granted. My husband wanted to get me this camera that I have been eyeing for about 2 years. I told him that the camera would be a really nice gift, but that I wanted something else this year. I wanted the kids bedrooms re-done. I wanted new paint on the walls, new beds, new bedspreads, new curtains, new decor, etc...and I wanted him to help me do it. So on Friday night we started ripping everything out of the two bedrooms and headed to the store to buy paint (and $100.00 worth of "other" supplies we needed) Jeff primed the walls when we got home and then went to bed. Saturday morning he started bright and early and started painting. To make a really long story short...the rooms are done and they look so good ~ He did an awesome job and it was one of my best birthday presents ever! Here are the pictures of the rooms (I still need to hang a few things on the walls, but you get the idea!)

The colors in the pictures are a little "off" because it was kind of dark and I had to use the flash - but I think the rooms turned out just great!! Needless to say - next year Jeff is going to stick with his original plan and just buy the camera! I do need to say a HUGE thank you to my sister, Deanne and her husband and to my neighbor, Carol. They were my little helpers and these rooms wouldn't be finished without all of their help!! THANK YOU!!!

Now on to the BAD...our little dog "champ" has gone to new home. I won't lie to you, I was sad and I cried! It was a fun month or so with our little puppy, but it proved to be too much for our busy family and he was spending WAY to much time locked in the kennel. He went to a loving family that has a farm and a fenced in yard - I'm sure he will be much happier there! I'm still a little teary as I type this - how silly!

Now for the "SNUGGLY"...I got the warmest, coziest, "snuggliest" slipper socks from my sister Deanne for my birthday. I have lived in them since I opened them. If you see a pair of these when your shopping at Wal-Mart, pick some up - you won't regret it!
So there you have it - the good the bad and the snuggly. Now I am off to finish up the laundry so we can be headed off to our Christmas vacation - a cruise to Cabo San Lucus...Bon Voyage!!

Super cute rooms. Is the red one Rileys? You all did a great job! Lunch was fun today, however I still need to buy - guess that means we will be going again:)
Have a great time this week and be safe! Lis

The red bedroom is Coleman's. He chose the bedspread (with some encouragement from me) and then helped pick out the paint color. I picked out the big red rug on the floor - it's so cozy! The pink room is Kamryn's and Lexi's. They picked out the bedspreads and the paint color.

Good job on the cute rooms! They turned out great! Don't worry about the dog, if I had not been working at home when we got our dog he probably would have had the same fate. And happy belated birthday!
