Friday morning I got a phone call from Brad:
"Mom, I think I broke my ankle"
Unfortunately, I was 2 hours away at a viewing/funeral that hadn't even started yet, so I called my sister (thanks Dean!) and she took him to the Dr.
Sure enough - it's broken! And, it's the same ankle that he broke 3 years ago and it's in the exact same place! Lucky him! It's been 3 days and it's looking a little bit better - but still pretty swollen.
We go back to the Dr. on Thursday to get a "real" cast. The girls have been so good to help prop up his foot with pillows, bring him Ibuprofen, get fresh ice bags and be his "servants" while he sits in the recliner in the basement...for another 5 days! Once the cast is on, he's on his own! :)

So what did he do??? And here I thought you were going to be talking about yet another one of your appliances breaking down! Hopefully it will heal quickly!
K that looks so painful! What an awesome sister you have to go get Brad. Lets just hope that this is not the start of a new family tradition... ore more broken ankles.
Tell Brad I hope he gets better soon! He's such a great kid!
As I left Tammy's house last night I thought, "Brad has SUCH a good attitude." He never complained about a thing. I adore that nephew of mine!

Poor guy, I hope it heals fast.
How did that happen? Poor Brad! That is painful. After Vaughn broke his wrist and elbow, I have learned sympathy for breaks. I hope he feels better soon and the break heals quickly!
Are you sure it's broken? My ankles & feet looked a lot like that when I was pregnant... Just sayin...
