What happened to "lazy day's of summer"??

The past two weeks have been a blur! We really haven't done anything "summerish" - we haven't even been to the pool yet because we've had too much rain and it's been TOO cold. We have, however, spent time at the park with cousins - always a good time. We have signed up for the summer reading program at the library and have enjoyed a few new books. We have purchased our fair share of Hawaiian shave ice - "tigers blood" for the kids and grape/lime for me...YUM! We all got summer hair-cuts...thank heavens! Rylee and I now have "glitter toes"...I love them! Kamryn was able to go to 5th grade camp and Rylee has spent the last 9 days in Hawaii - our house has felt a little empty. We have also spent two nights a week at Maple Mountain High baseball games

As soon as the weather improves and the sun comes out, I'm sure we'll be spending our afternoons at the pool and purchasing a few more shave ice...then the "lazy days of summer" can begin!!

Summer is crazy! Sounds like a lot fun at your house. Hawaii~sign me up for that gig. but until that ever happens ~ we too will live off their shaved ice. Love it!

It's been unseasonably rainy and cold here too. I can't wait for the sun and the days lounging at the pool with a good book! It WILL happen!

I'm DYING to see the glitter toes! I've heard that they last FOREVER, but I have no idea what they look like. Please share!!

Summer haircuts, glitter toes and shaved iced, now all we need is summer weather!!!!!! I'm surprised you can even go to the park, our grass here is soggy!

We finally went swimming yesterday, the one day in two weeks that we were able!

Kyle got back from scout camp and I wonder if Kamryn's camp was anything like Kyle's..., MUDDY! Rain, rain, go away! But atleast the valley looks LUSH!

If you are able and want to come over next Saturday night (27th), Cedar Hills has their annual fireworks display. (They do a really great job!) We used to just sit in our back yard and they would go off right over our heads, but with the new Walmart, they moved it to the golf course about our neighborhood. I think we can easily see them from the front yard. Hopefully it will be just as fun. I'd love to see you! We'll have a bar-b-que around 7-8 and fireworks go off at about 10.

I just got glitter toes today, cause I probably won't be doing my nails for awhile. The time has gone by fast even though we haven't been doing summery things.

Hawaii? Is that fair, Really? So fun! I hope she had sooooo much fun and took a ton of pics, (you will have to post some). I keep thinking that things will slow down and we can enjoy the "lazy days" of summer, but I don't know if that will ever happen and I only have 2 and they are little. I can only imagine how busy you are. We really do still need to make our lunch date.
